These maps represent the areas closed to motorized over snow vehicle travel for the purpose of providing a variety of quality winter recreation opportunities, and so that forest users are not in conflict with each other, or losing the opportunities important to them, as per the Forest Land Management Plan produced by the U.S. Forest Service, the Blaine County Recreation District, the Sawtooth Snowmobile Club and the Nordic and Backcountry Skiers Alliance.
